Paul and his wife, Dotty, moved to Yermo over 2 years ago. They purchased property on Calico Boulevard 5 years ago and started building their own home. The main house is not yet done but they wanted to live in Yermo so they moved into a smaller residence on the property until the construction work is completed.

Paul and Dotty are both native Californians. Paul was born in Bakersfield and grew up on a farm a few miles south of Bakersfield (on the old Hiway 99). He lived a few years in the Silicon Valley area of Northern California (San Jose), but has spent most of his life in the Los Angeles area: South Central LA, Westchester, Long Beach, and El Segundo. Paul’s love of the Mojave (where he spent many years camping and rock hunting) led him to Baldy Mesa (now Victorville) in 1991. He and his wife built their own home there. Paul’s oldest son, David, and his family are now living in that home.
